Mukta S. Lama Tamang, is an anthropologist teaching at Central Department of Anthropology at Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu. His major areas of work include indigenous people’s issues, history and identity, human rights and social inclusion and development. He received his doctoral degree at Cornell University. He was a Visiting Fellow at the India China Institute at New School for Social Research and currently a member of research team on Sacred Himalaya Initiative. He has also served as Visiting Fellow at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and Goldsmiths’ College of University of London.
He is also part of the ICI research team.
